May 9th, 2009 Lacrosse Tournament Details

Here you will find the details that pertain to the May 9th 2009 tournament.  This post will be updated as new information becomes available.

WHO: 7th - 8th Grade Boys.

SCHEDULE: Will be provided at least a week prior to the event.  Plan on having at least 3 games.

FOOD: We will have Rita’s (italian ice) and Chick-fil-a on site.  They will be located in the snack bar between the two lower fields.  Absolutely no cooking / grilling may take place on campus.  This is a strict rule of Cary Academy.  It is perfectly fine to tailgate, just no food may be cooked on campus.

FEE: $250 per team.  The money will go toward field rental, officials, insurance, trainer, etc.  All proceeds will go toward St. Baldrick’s.  Budgets will be made available upon request.  Please mail checks by April 15th to: Stick It to Cancer, PO Box 80501, Raleigh, NC 27623.

ADVERTISING: Any group / business wishing to donate $500 or more is welcome to hang a banner at the fields and have their logo placed on the play day t-shirt.  Please submit logos to Nick Holota at Battle Lacrosse.  All logos must be received by Friday, April 3rd.  The t-shirts will be dry fit and similiar to last years shirt.

PRIOR YEAR SUCCESS: Over the past two years, we have raised over $7,500 for cancer patients.  In year one, we donated $3,000 to Wake County Hospice on behalf of cancer patients.  Last year, we gave over $4,500 to St. Baldrick’s.  Attached are the letters from Wake County Hospice and St. Baldricks for the past two year’s donations.
